How to Participate
- Fundraise with a Team - Fundraising on a team means that along with your own donation, you and a team of your friends help collect donations from each of your separate networks. All of the money raised by team members will go toward a collective team total. Teams can be formed with any group of people, your: friends, coworkers, church group, block club, sports team, Boy or Girl Scout Troop, sorority, or fraternity. The possibilities are endless! Just recruit people who will be willing to reach out to their own personal networks to help collect donations for your team.
- Fundraise Solo - Fundraising solo means that along with your own donation, you help collect donations from your friends and family to support Sarah's Circle.
- Make a Donation - Even if you do not create or join a fundraising team, we welcome your donation in honor of this event!
- Attend the Event - We encourage everyone to attend this family-friendly event free of charge! You aren't required to donate or create a fundraising team to attend this event.
The 26th Annual Winter Walk: a Mile in Her Shoes was a huge success! For the first time in the event's history, our supporters were able to raise over $100,000 to help women who are homeless in Chicago--watch the recap video here!
26TH ANNUAL WINTER WALK TOP FUNDRAISERS
Team StarKid, led by Meredith Stepien, is the highest grossing Winter Walk team for the 2nd year in a row! They raised an incredible $12,501 that will go straight toward benefitting women who are homeless in Chicago. Team StarKid raised money from 556 donors--more donors than any other team!
Solo fundraiser J. Breezer Rickey is the highest raising solo fundraiser for the 3rd year in a row. In 2017, Breezer raised $6,025 thanks to dozens of caring friends and family members. In 2018, Breezer raised an incredible $10,209! Breezer is also a former Board President of Sarah's Circle who has helped fundraise for this event for many years.
