26th Annual Winter Walk: a Mile in Her Shoes
This event helps you better understand homelessness through the eyes of those who struggle with it first-hand. Participants walk together on a one-mile route through the Uptown neighborhood while listening to stories of women who have rebuilt their lives with Sarah's Circle's help.
The 26th annual Winter Walk: a Mile in Her Shoes
February 18, 2018
Truman College, 1145 W Wilson Ave
1:00 - 3:00 pm
On any given night in Chicago, there are approximately 2,800 single women who are experiencing homelessness. We believe that is 2,800 too many. With your generous participation, we will end homelessness and help these women find homes.
Add your name to receive updates for this year's Winter Walk: a Mile in Her Shoes as soon as they are available. Adding your name to the Winter Walk mailing list does not obligate you to attend the event.
How to Participate
- Fundraise with a Team - Fundraising on a team means that along with your own donation, you and a team of your friends help collect donations from each of your separate networks. All of the money raised by team members will go toward a collective team total. Teams can be formed with any group of people, your: friends, coworkers, church group, block club, sports team, Boy or Girl Scout Troop, sorority, or fraternity. The possibilities are endless! Just recruit people who will be willing to reach out to their own personal networks to help collect donations for your team.
- Fundraise Solo - Fundraising solo means that along with your own donation, you help collect donations from your friends and family to support Sarah's Circle.
- Make a Donation - Even if you do not create or join a fundraising team, we welcome your donation in honor of this event!
- Attend the Event - We encourage everyone to attend this family-friendly event free of charge! You aren't required to donate or create a fundraising team to attend this event.
